Non-traditional data sources for social and economic monitoring

Conferences, Media Center

The Data Big Bang is providing us with a stream of fresh and digitized data related to how people, companies and other organizations behave and interact. To turn these data into knowledge about the underlying behavior of the social and economic agents, researchers must deal with a huge amount of unstructured and heterogeneous data. The talk in the 4POINT0 conference reviews some novel data sources used for economic research, with specific attention to innovation, as well as some methods for treating them and systematizing the process.
